Sarawak’s Minister of Transport and Senadin assemblyman, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, confirmed that the project was successfully completed on July 28, surpassing its initial target date of August 8, 2025. The RM300,000 initiative involved the widening and resurfacing of a 1.2-kilometre stretch of road, aimed at enhancing road safety and comfort for local commuters.

During a site visit on Wednesday, Dato Sri Lee reviewed the progress of several infrastructure projects within the Senadin constituency, including the Jalan Sungai Dalam project, the proposed parking area at Riam Methodist Kindergarten, and the resurfacing work on Taman Tung San Road.

He was accompanied by engineers from Miri City Council (MBM), representatives from the Senadin DUN Service Centre, and project contractors. Commending the high-quality workmanship, Dato Sri Lee recommended that the council document contractor performance to guide future project selections.

At Riam Methodist Kindergarten, Dato Sri Lee assessed a proposed site for a new parking lot. A technical issue involving a nearby electrical pole had previously stalled progress, but it has now been resolved with the assistance of Sarawak Energy.

Additionally, the resurfacing of Taman Tung San Road, carried out under the MARRIS 2025 allocation with a budget of RM139,700, has also reached completion.
