KUCHING – The men’s high jump at the Borneo Games Kuching (BGK) 2025 ended in a clean sweep for Sabah, as its athletes claimed all three medals at the State Stadium on Thursday.
Farrell Glenn Felix Jurus secured the gold medal with a best clearance of 2.05 metres. He edged out teammate Mohamad Eizlan Dahalan, who managed the same height but took silver due to a higher number of failed attempts.
Completing the podium, Reynolds JC Majin cleared 1.95 metres, earning bronze and sealing Sabah’s dominance in the discipline.
Sarawak’s representatives, Clarence Didak Tieuse and Clement Rugin Tieuse, finished just outside the medals in fourth and fifth positions, with jumps of 1.80 metres and 1.75 metres respectively.
The result reinforced Sabah’s reputation as a powerhouse in high jump at regional competition level, further strengthening its standing in athletics at BGK 2025.
