This pledge was central to the recently concluded 2025 SPM Knowledge and Motivation Tour Programme, an integrated effort designed to level the academic playing field for students who face logistical challenges and limited access to learning resources.

Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development, Datuk Rubiah Wang, emphasised that investment in education is a direct investment in the nation’s future.

She stated that the government, through KKDW and MARA, will continue collaborating to ensure children in rural localities are not excluded from educational opportunities.

This aligns with the broader goal of producing well-rounded human capital equipped with academic knowledge, technical skills, and leadership qualities.

The programme aimed to holistically improve academic performance for 303 participants, including students from several schools such as SMK Muara Tuang and SMK Asajaya.

It provided exposure to effective learning techniques, focused on strengthening mastery of key subjects like History, Mathematics, Malay, and English, and offered strategic guidance for tackling the current SPM examination format.

Beyond academics, the initiative served as a platform to help students identify personal potential, build confidence, manage stress, and instil values of discipline and perseverance.

The ceremony also saw the MARA Education Foundation extend educational assistance to 100 selected students as support for their upcoming SPM examinations.

MARA’s ongoing commitment includes strengthening educational access for Bumiputera students through institutions like Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) and various scholarship and technical training programmes.

This initiative reflects KKDW’s dedicated role in empowering rural communities, a key thrust of the national Rural Development Policy 2030, which prioritises human capital development as essential for achieving prosperous, inclusive, and sustainable rural living.
