TYT Sarawak and Consort Enjoy Local Breakfast at Iconic Haji Bujang Restaurant in Lundu

LUNDU, Nov 7 – His Excellency Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, the Sarawak Head of State, together with his wife, Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, enjoyed a warm and humble breakfast this morning at the popular Haji Bujang Restaurant in Lundu town.

The couple made a casual stop at the well-known eatery around 10.05 am, before proceeding to perform Friday prayers at the Pehin Sri Haji Adenan Haji Satem Mosque in the district.

Their arrival was welcomed by Mr. Mohd Isa Limon, representative of the Lundu District Officer; Puan Hajah Norasikin, Secretary of the Lundu District Council; and Superintendent Sudirman bin Kram, Lundu District Police Chief.

For locals, Haji Bujang Restaurant holds a special place in Lundu’s culinary scene. Known for its authentic Sarawak dishes such as Sarawak Laksa, Mee Jawa, Kolok Mee, and traditional Malay cuisine, the restaurant has been a familiar stop for Tun Pehin Sri since his early days as a Member of Parliament.

During the visit, Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan also took a moment to view a wooden bridge located behind the shop. The bridge, constructed during Tun Pehin Sri’s tenure as an MP, continues to serve as an important access route for nearby residents.

Also present during the breakfast session were Tuan Haji Syed Azmi Syed Mahadzar, Pemanca Jumahdi bin Sabian, Encik Abdul Razak bin Abdul Wahab, Deputy Head of PBB Lundu Branch, and Puan Fatimah Abdullah, Head of PBB Wanita Lundu Branch.

Adding to the special morning was the presence of Yang Berhormat Encik Azizul Annuar bin Pehin Sri Adenan Satem, ADUN N3 Tanjong Datu, who joined the entourage after attending official functions in the constituency.

Before leaving, Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan took memorable photographs with guests and restaurant staff, expressing their appreciation for the delicious local food and the warm hospitality extended by the restaurant owner and workers.

The visit not only highlighted the Sarawak Head of State’s down-to-earth personality but also reflected his continued support for local businesses and the people of Lundu — a place that has long been close to his heart. – TYT Sarawak
