Kota Kinabalu, 9 November 2025: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has unveiled the list of ten Parti Keadilan Rakyat (KEADILAN) candidates contesting under Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the upcoming Sabah General Election.

The announcement, made in Kota Kinabalu, was framed as a step towards strengthening leadership aligned with the hopes and interests of the people.

The candidates represent a diverse mix of backgrounds and experiences, united by what Anwar described as a shared determination to “return the politics of values to the people.”

He expressed confidence that their participation would fuel the spirit of the people’s struggle and reinforce PH’s commitment to defending Sabahans’ rights.

The ten KEADILAN candidates announced are:

  • N18 Inanam: Peto Galim
  • N44 Tulid: Datin Rufinah Pengeran
  • N23 Petagas: Awang Husaini Sahari
  • N61 Segama: Romansa Lamin
  • N50 Gum-Gum: Abdul Said Pimping
  • N20 Api-Api: Thonny Chee
  • N72 Merotai: Datuk Haji Ruji Ubi
  • N42 Melalap: Datuk Jamawi Jaafar
  • N35 Sindumin: Datuk Yamani Hafez Tun Musa

Anwar underscored the coalition’s ambition to translate this political momentum into tangible progress for Sabah.

“We will ensure that this ambition is translated towards upholding the rights and interests of the people of Sabah,” he said, adding that the candidates’ collective resolve would help overcome challenges facing the state.

The announcement comes as Sabah prepares for a closely watched election, with PH aiming to consolidate its presence in the state.

Observers note that the selection of candidates from varied professional and social backgrounds reflects the coalition’s strategy to appeal to a broad spectrum of voters.

Anwar concluded his remarks by wishing the candidates’ success, reiterating that their mission is not merely electoral victory but the advancement of Sabah’s dignity and development within Malaysia.
