The incident took place at Petronas Indah Marak Sdn Bhd along Jalan Expressway Kota Samarahan, where MPV members were carrying out their usual rounds. While monitoring the area, officers noticed two men behaving suspiciously near a motorcycle. Their actions raised concern, prompting officers to stop and conduct an inspection.

During the initial checks, police requested identification from both individuals. A background review revealed that both men had previous records involving offences under the Dangerous Drugs Act, strengthening the officers’ suspicion and leading to further questioning on the spot.

Following police procedures, the officers issued a verbal warning and instructed both men to surrender any illegal items in their possession. One of the suspects then handed over a plastic packet containing crystal-like substances believed to be Syabu. The discovery confirmed the officers’ suspicion, and both men were immediately placed under arrest.

The suspects, together with the confiscated packet, were brought to the Kota Samarahan District Police Headquarters (IPD) for further investigation. The case will be handled under the relevant provisions of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

Police said the swift action taken during the patrol reflects their ongoing commitment to reducing drug-related activities and keeping public spaces safe. Regular patrols in high-risk and public areas continue to be one of the key strategies in curbing crime in the district.

Authorities also urge the public to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods as part of the community’s shared responsibility in fighting crime. The cooperation between the police and the community remains an important step towards ensuring safety and stability in Kota Samarahan.
