SABATI Delegation Visits Sarawak General Hospital to Support Patients

KUCHING, 25 November 2025 – The Sarawak General Hospital (HUS) received a special visit today from the Sarawak Delegation of the Wives’ Volunteer Association (SABATI), led by Ms. Norjihan bt Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Zohari.

The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Ngian Hie Ung, Director of HUS, along with hospital officers, marking a meaningful start to the morning’s activities. The visit focused on connecting with patients and understanding the hospital’s ongoing medical services.

Ms. Norjihan and the SABATI team first visited the Haematology Ward, where they personally met patients and delivered donations aimed at improving patient care and supporting their recovery journey. The heartfelt interaction underscored SABATI’s commitment to community service and their focus on providing assistance to those in need within the healthcare sector.

Following the donation delivery, the delegation proceeded to the Radiology Ward, where hospital officers briefed the visitors on the department’s operations and ongoing initiatives. Ms. Norjihan expressed her appreciation for the hard work of medical staff and highlighted the importance of volunteer contributions in enhancing the well-being of patients.

“The welfare of patients is always our top priority, and we are grateful for the support of organisations like SABATI. Their visits and donations bring encouragement and hope to our patients and staff alike,” said Dr. Ngian Hie Ung.

The visit not only strengthened the collaboration between SABATI and HUS but also provided an opportunity for the delegation to gain insight into hospital operations and patient care needs. Such initiatives reflect the enduring spirit of volunteerism in Sarawak, encouraging more community engagement in supporting healthcare institutions.

SABATI’s dedication continues to resonate throughout Sarawak, reinforcing the positive impact of charitable efforts on public healthcare and patient morale.
