KUCHING – Her Excellency YABhg. Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi made a special appearance at the “Air Tangan” Cooking Demonstration Program of His Excellency the Sarawak Governor in conjunction with the 2025 Satok Medan Niaga Carnival. The event commenced at 9.00 am, drawing attention from food enthusiasts and local communities alike.
YABhg. Toh Puan Fauziah’s arrival was warmly greeted by prominent figures including YBhg. Datin Hajah Siti Shorgayah binti Ahmad Zaidin, YBrs. Encik Abdul Rashid bin Bahri, the FAMA Director General, Puan Salina binti Nawi, Chairman of PUSPANITA, YBrs. Puan Norsalawaty binti Abdul Kadir, as well as the Sarawak State FAMA Director.
The program featured a hands-on cooking demonstration where YABhg. Toh Puan showcased three signature dishes: Sardines using Agromas products, Chicken Soup, and Fried Belacan Midin Vegetables. She was assisted by Puan Norsalawaty binti Abdul Kadir throughout the demonstration. Accompanying her were her children, Sharifah Fariah, Sharifah Nong-Jasima, and her husband, Hakeem, who actively participated in the event and visited the various exhibition stalls.
Among the highlighted stalls were showcases from MYSED, FAMA, SEDC, and other local vendors, giving visitors the opportunity to explore a wide array of local products.
In her remarks, YABhg. Toh Puan Fauziah expressed gratitude to the organizers and highlighted the importance of such programs in promoting local products. She emphasized that initiatives like the “Air Tangan” Cooking Demonstration not only enrich visitor experiences but also foster community engagement and contribute to the growth of Sarawak’s food and agricultural sectors.
The event successfully combined culinary artistry with community interaction, reinforcing the Satok Medan Niaga Carnival as a key platform for cultural, social, and economic engagement within the state.
