Medamit Christmas Bazaar Showcases Local Products and Community Spirit

LIMBANG – The Tamu Medamit Christmas Bazaar 2025 drew hundreds of visitors to the Medamit Open Hall on Tuesday, reaffirming its role as a key platform for promoting local products and strengthening community ties.

The annual bazaar was officiated by Councilor Ugak Sanggau, representing Batu Danau assemblyman Dato’ Paulus Palu Gumbang.

In his speech, Dato’ Paulus expressed gratitude to the organising committee for their dedication in ensuring the bazaar remains a fixture in the Medamit community calendar.

He highlighted the strong cooperation between traders, volunteers and residents, noting that the bazaar reflects the unity and harmony of the community.

“The success of the Christmas Bazaar not only demonstrates the spirit of cooperation of the Medamit community, but also showcases the strength of unity and harmony we have,” he said.

The bazaar featured a wide range of local products, including traditional food, handicrafts, ethnic costumes, agricultural produce and festive souvenirs, offering visitors a vibrant showcase of Medamit’s cultural and economic diversity.

As a gesture of support, Councilor Ugak announced an allocation of RM10,000 from Dato’ Paulus to help fund the programme and encourage future initiatives.

The Christmas Bazaar continues to serve as a vital avenue for local traders to boost their economy while fostering community spirit, making it a highlight of Limbang’s festive season.
