LANGKAWI – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim performed Friday prayers at the Nur al-Hidayah Mosque in Kelibang, Kuah, joining the local congregation in worship and reflection.
The sermon delivered during the prayers carried the theme “The Dangers of TikTok Apps”, highlighting the importance of cultivating values and manners to guard against negative influences spread through social media.
The preacher reminded worshippers that while technology and social platforms are integral to modern life, they must be used wisely to ensure that shared content benefits society and remains truthful.
Anwar noted that the message served as a timely reminder for all, especially in an era where digital platforms shape public discourse and influence behaviour.
He emphasised that responsible use of technology should go hand in hand with moral guidance to safeguard community well-being.
Following the prayers, the Prime Minister joined local residents for lunch, enjoying traditional dishes and engaging in conversations with the community.
The informal gathering reflected his ongoing commitment to strengthening ties between the Government and the people, ensuring that policies and initiatives remain centred on their needs.
Observers point out that Anwar’s presence at the mosque and his participation in community activities underscore the MADANI Government’s emphasis on inclusivity, moral values and grassroots engagement.
