In a recent development surrounding the shooting incident at KLIA Terminal 1, Hafizul Hawari, aged 38, pleaded not guilty to two serious charges at The Siang Sessions Court today. The charges laid against him include attempted murder and voluntarily causing grievous hurt with a dangerous weapon, stemming from the events of April 14th.

<strong>The Incident</strong>

Hafizul Hawari allegedly fired two shots at his wife, Farah Isa, within the airport’s Arrival Hall. However, he missed his target, with one of the shots hitting Farah’s bodyguard, Nor Hadi Z, who is currently undergoing recovery in the hospital.

<strong>Legal Proceedings</strong>

Hafizul’s lawyer, Naim Mahmud, sought bail for his client. However, Judge Azul Abdullah, considering the gravity of the alleged offenses, rejected the bail application.

Yesterday, Hafizul faced trial for seven additional charges at The Kotabaru Sessions Court. These charges span a range of offenses, including possession of a firearm, possession of bullets, possession of firecrackers, and possession of the my cuts of three others. Additionally, he stands accused of using a fake vehicle number plate.
