PM Anwar Reaffirms Malaysia’s Unwavering Support for Palestine

KUALA LUMPUR – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has reiterated Malaysia’s firm and consistent stance on the Palestinian struggle, declaring that the country will never remain silent while the people of Gaza continue to endure what he described as “crimes against humanity.”

Speaking on Malaysia’s position, Anwar stressed that the oppression, tyranny, colonisation and killings must come to an end.

He emphasised that Malaysia, together with its international partners, stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

“Malaysia’s stance on Palestine has never wavered because the world cannot remain silent while the people of Gaza continue to be victims of crimes against humanity in the story of suffering of this century. This oppression, tyranny, colonisation and murder must stop. Malaysia and the world’s friends stand with you. We will continue to speak out firmly, demanding justice for a nation that has suffered for too long,” he said.

Malaysia has long been a vocal supporter of Palestinian rights, consistently raising the issue at international platforms, including the United Nations and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The government has also backed humanitarian missions to Gaza, while calling for an end to violence and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Observers note that Malaysia’s position reflects its broader foreign policy of advocating for justice, human rights and solidarity with oppressed communities.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid ongoing conflict in Gaza, where humanitarian agencies continue to report severe shortages of food, medical supplies and shelter.

Malaysia’s leadership has pledged to continue pressing for accountability and justice, while encouraging global powers to act decisively to end the suffering.

The statement underscores Malaysia’s role as a steadfast voice in the international community, urging collective action to achieve peace and dignity for Palestinians.
