PETALING JAYA – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim visited Medan Selera Jalan 12 in Petaling Jaya on Friday, where he met residents from Taman Dato’ Harun and surrounding areas to hear their concerns.
During the engagement, several complaints were raised regarding schools, traders and local community issues. The Prime Minister assured residents that all matters highlighted would be investigated and addressed promptly.
Following the meeting, Anwar joined approximately 2,000 believers at Masjid Jumhuriyah for the Friday Fard Prayer. The Khutbah delivered during the prayers encouraged reflection on past practices, particularly in maintaining strong relationships with Allah SWT and with fellow human beings.
The Imam reminded congregants to make full use of the time granted to increase devotion and obedience to Allah SWT, stressing the importance of avoiding regret when facing the eventual call to return to Him.
Anwar’s visit to Petaling Jaya reflects his continued commitment to engaging directly with communities, listening to their concerns and ensuring that immediate action is taken where necessary. His participation in Friday prayers also underscored the importance of spiritual reflection at the start of the new year.
The Prime Minister’s presence was welcomed by residents, who expressed appreciation for his willingness to meet them in person and address local issues. The visit highlighted the government’s focus on community welfare, education and trader-related matters, alongside spiritual and moral guidance.
