Sarawak Service Kiosk in Maludam to Enhance Digital Access

MALUDAM – The upcoming Sarawak Service Kiosk in Maludam is set to make government services more accessible to residents, offering a range of digital solutions such as updating official documents, paying bills, and accessing Sarawak Government online platforms.

A recent meeting and site visit for the proposed kiosk location was attended by representatives from Sarawak Pass, Maludam Sub-District Office Assistant Administrative Officer Noraini Aden, community leaders (KMKK), and local councillors.

The primary goal of the meeting was to identify a strategic location that ensures the kiosk is easily reachable for residents. Officials highlighted that the facility will act as a one-stop centre, reducing the need for rural communities to travel long distances to urban areas for essential services.

The initiative has already received positive feedback from Maludam residents, who welcomed the convenience of having multiple services available under one roof. The kiosk is expected to enhance efficiency, safety, and accessibility, while strengthening the delivery of government services in rural areas.

Officials explained that the project aligns with the Sarawak Pass principle of “One Identity, Multiple Opportunities”, offering a secure and reliable gateway to digital services. This approach reflects the state’s broader vision of modernising governance and ensuring inclusivity in service delivery.

Community leaders noted that the kiosk will not only simplify administrative processes but also empower rural residents by integrating them into Sarawak’s digital ecosystem. The facility is part of ongoing efforts to bridge the urban-rural divide and promote smart governance across the state.

The Sarawak Service Kiosk in Maludam is expected to serve as a model for similar initiatives in other rural districts, reinforcing Sarawak’s commitment to digital transformation and community empowerment.
