Site Visit Held for Kejat Square Upgrade Project in Dalat

NANGA BAOH – A site visit was held for Project DUN N.57 Tellian 2026 under the RTP 2026 on Kejat Square Upgrade Project in front of Rh. Abus Anak Junau, Batang Oya, Nanga Baoh, Dalat District, Mukah.

The project, undertaken by JKR Mukah, is to upgrade the infrastructure and facilities for the local community.

This revitalisation project is anticipated to enhance the local liveability of Kejat Square through the provision of a functional and inviting public space that serves as a place for social gathering and an area for community-building initiatives.

Among those present during the site visit were officers from JKR Mukah, village chiefs, Tr. Inda Anak Gani, Abus Anak Junau, Service Centre, AJK PBB Branch N.57 Tellian, and other members who attended the event.

Their involvement demonstrated the working relationship between local authorities and stakeholders to deliver a project that serves community purpose.

The visit was an opportunity to go over the development of the initiative and its effect on the area. Local leaders welcomed with enthusiasm that the new square was transformed into a place for people to meet and enjoy cultural events and recreational activities, forging closer community in Nanga Baoh.

“RTP (Rural Transformation Programme) 2026 is continuously playing its role in providing catch-up infrastructures throughout Sarawak, and such projects show how the government prioritises rural development.

Targeting facilities which directly impact citizens’ lives, RTP projects are designed to improve quality of life and encourage fitness and exercise in smaller communities and rural towns.

The Kejat Square facelift is part of an initiative under DUN N.57 Tellian to upgrade our public places and provide facilities in line with what the local people want. With the support of JKR Mukah and local leaders, they would like to see their project complete in line with state development.
