KUCHING – The Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, kept up with his official duties despite a packed schedule that included the Sarawak Level 2026 New Year celebration and visits to residents around Kuching.
After returning to the official residence at Kasuma Resort, he and his wife, Fauziah Mohd. Sanusi, went straight back to work. Tun Pehin Sri held a detailed discussion with his Senior Private Secretary, Syed Hamzah Syed Paie, to review upcoming programmes and coordinate state-level events.
Preparations for Ramadan and Aidilfitri were high on the agenda. Even after a long day of public appearances, he focused on refining plans and tightening arrangements. The extra effort reflected his disciplined approach and his sense of responsibility toward the role he holds.
Those familiar with his leadership style point to his careful attention to detail and strong accountability. Working late into the evening is not unusual for him, especially when major celebrations and public programmes are around the corner.
Toh Puan’s presence during the discussion showed their shared commitment to public service. Their involvement in planning highlights a hands-on approach, aimed at ensuring community programmes run smoothly and benefit the people.
Tun Pehin Sri continues to balance ceremonial duties with administrative oversight. His steady involvement in both areas reinforces his reputation as a leader who stays engaged beyond formal appearances.
With major cultural and religious events approaching, his proactive planning sets the tone for orderly and inclusive celebrations across the state. His consistency sends a clear message about leadership rooted in service, discipline, and close attention to the needs of Sarawakians.
