SK Tambirat PTA Strengthens Community Spirit with Bubur Lambuk

ASAJAYA – The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Tambirat brought festive cheer to the local community by organising a rewang bubur lambuk programme at the school’s covered square.

The event, held from 8.30 am to 1.00 pm, aimed to foster closer ties between the school and residents of Kampung Tambirat in the Asajaya constituency.

Teachers, PTA committee members, and villagers joined hands in preparing traditional ingredients early in the morning.

Several large cauldrons of bubur lambuk were cooked in stages before being distributed to school staff and students as a symbolic gesture of sharing during Ramadan.

Organisers highlighted that the programme was more than just a cooking activity. It revived the tradition of gotong-royong while reinforcing the values of cooperation and unity among the community. The initiative also reflected the PTA’s commitment to nurturing a harmonious educational environment.

The event was further enlivened by the presence of Abdul Razak Klantong, Senior Assistant for Administration of SK Tambirat; Nasrol Jolhan, President of the SK Tambirat PTA; and Sejali Unus, Islamic Education Committee Teacher.

Their participation underscored the importance of collaboration between educators and the community in fostering shared values.

The programme concluded with a symbolic handover of bubur lambuk packs to school representatives, officiated by the guest of honour.

This gesture served as a sign of support for the PTA’s welfare and community initiatives, while reinforcing the culture of sharing sustenance during Ramadan.

The annual rewang bubur lambuk programme has become a cherished tradition at SK Tambirat, reflecting the school’s dedication to community engagement and the spirit of togetherness.

By combining cultural heritage with educational values, the initiative continues to strengthen bonds between the school and Kampung Tambirat residents.
