The road upgrade finished earlier than planned, reflecting smooth coordination and efficient implementation among the agencies involved.

Situated within the Bukit Saban constituency, the upgraded road brings clear benefits to farmers in the area.

The improved route offers safer and more comfortable access to farmland while easing the transport of crops to nearby markets.

Residents welcomed the project, noting that the new road reduces travel difficulties and improves daily movement in and out of farming areas.

For many in the community, the development represents more than better infrastructure; it supports livelihoods linked to agriculture and small-scale trade.

Officials said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and improving living standards in outlying communities.

Investment in farm roads forms part of wider efforts to support agricultural productivity and rural development.

The Ulu Teru road upgrade also aligns with broader plans to ensure rural communities remain connected and included in Sarawak’s development progress.

Better access to farms and markets is expected to strengthen long-term sustainability within the agricultural sector.

Through programmes led by BDDA, infrastructure upgrades continue across Betong Division, focusing on projects that bring direct benefits to residents and local economies.
