This year’s gathering not only strengthened bonds among STIDC staff but also highlighted the organisation’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

A total of 100 underprivileged students (asnaf) from 10 schools across Kuching received festive contributions to assist with preparations for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

The participating schools included:

  • Sekolah Rakyat Jalan Haji Bolhassan
  • SK Merpati Jepang
  • SK Pajar Sejingkat
  • SK Kampung Senari
  • SK Matu Baru
  • SK Rakyat Tupong
  • SK Rakyat Astana
  • SK Goebilt
  • SK Pulo
  • SK Gersik

The initiative reflects STIDC’s ongoing efforts to ease the burden of underprivileged families and share the blessings of Ramadan with the wider community.

By supporting students, the corporation aims to foster inclusivity and ensure that festive joy reaches those most in need.

The Iftar gathering also served as a platform for staff and guests to come together in a spirit of unity and goodwill.

The distribution of aid underscored STIDC’s role not only in the timber industry but also in contributing to social development and community welfare.

Officials expressed hope that such initiatives will continue to inspire other organisations to extend support to vulnerable groups, reinforcing the values of compassion and solidarity during the holy month.
