The programme was reported to have proceeded smoothly and in an organised manner, reflecting strong local support for the initiative.

Officials explained that the programme aims to improve the effectiveness of volunteer fire units, ensuring they are well prepared to respond to emergencies.

Involving community leaders and residents also helps strengthen cooperation between the Fire and Rescue Department and the local community.

According to the department, such initiatives are especially important in rural areas where volunteer fire forces play a key role in protecting lives and property.

Strengthening PBS units helps ensure communities are better equipped to handle emergencies, including fire incidents and other disasters.

The initiative highlights the department’s commitment to building resilience at the grassroots level by empowering communities to take a more proactive role in safety and emergency preparedness.
