In Mukah, the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Mukah District responded to an emergency involving a locked car on 16 March 2026.
The case, classified as Special Services (KK), was reported to the Mukah District Operations Control Centre by a member of the public who had accidentally left their car keys inside a vehicle with the doors locked.
APM personnel were promptly dispatched and used specialised equipment to unlock the car safely. The operation was completed without incident, and the situation was secured.
Officials noted that assisting in such cases falls under APM’s broader role in providing emergency support to the community. By deploying trained teams and proper tools, the force ensures that potentially stressful situations are handled quickly and safely.
The agency thanked the public for reporting the incident promptly, emphasising that early notification allows emergency teams to respond effectively.
