The briefing introduced RHAzyme as a cement-based soil stabiliser enhanced with polymers in powder form. The product is formulated using industrial slag and by-products, specifically adapted to suit local climatic conditions.

RHAzyme is designed to stabilise subgrade or roadbeds by improving adhesion, load-bearing capacity, and soil density.

Its application is carried out through the Full Depth Reclamation method, using computerised machinery. The product is supplied in 1-tonne jumbo bags for ease of transport and handling at construction sites.

Officials explained that the use of RHAzyme could significantly improve the durability and sustainability of road infrastructure, particularly in areas with challenging soil conditions.

By increasing soil strength and reducing maintenance needs, the product is expected to contribute to long-term cost savings and improved safety for road users.

The initiative reflects JKR Sarawak’s commitment to adopting innovative technologies and materials in infrastructure development.

The department continues to explore modern solutions that enhance project quality while supporting environmental sustainability.

Industry observers note that soil stabilisation is a critical aspect of road construction in Sarawak, where diverse terrain and heavy rainfall often pose challenges.

The introduction of products like RHAzyme demonstrates proactive efforts to address these issues and ensure reliable infrastructure for communities.

The briefing session concluded with discussions on potential applications of RHAzyme in upcoming projects, reinforcing JKR Sarawak’s role as a forward-looking agency dedicated to improving infrastructure delivery across the state.
