SPAOH – The Civil Defence Force (APM) in Spaoh responded quickly on Christmas Eve after a resident reported a nest of poisonous insects, believed to be wasps, near his home in Kampung Bungin.
Worried about his family’s safety, the resident asked authorities to inspect and remove the nest. A Bravo Squad of four personnel, led by Sjn (PA) Hasla Bin Deli, was sent to the scene with equipment designed for insect nest removal.
After arriving, the team inspected the area and found the nest tucked between the ceiling and roof of the house’s parking space. Wearing protective bee suits, they used a Ridsect spray method to neutralise the insects before removing the nest.
The operation went smoothly, with no injuries reported. All equipment was returned in good condition once the job was done.
The quick response showed APM Spaoh’s readiness in handling emergency situations. Their action removed a potential danger before it turned serious.
Residents have been advised to stay alert and report similar cases to authorities. APM continues to stress its commitment to public safety under its motto, “Ready, Fast, With Integrity.”
