APM Celebrates Police Day Commemoration in Lubok Antu

LUBOK ANTU – The 219th Police Day commemoration was marked with a formal ceremony at the Lubok Antu District Police Headquarters on Wednesday, 25 March 2026.

The event, held in the main hall of the district headquarters, was officiated by YDH Pricha a/l Azin, the Lubok Antu District Police chief.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to several agencies in recognition of their contributions and cooperation during search and rescue operations in the district.

Among those in attendance was Lt. (PA) Desem Samuel, Lubok Antu District Civil Defence Officer. His presence highlighted the strong support of the Civil Defence Force (APM) for the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), reinforcing the collaborative relationship between agencies in safeguarding national security and public order.

The commemoration underscored the ongoing commitment of Malaysia’s security forces to strengthen cooperation and coordination, particularly in areas such as Lubok Antu where joint efforts are vital in responding to emergencies and maintaining peace.

The recognition of agencies involved in rescue operations reflected the importance of inter-agency synergy in ensuring effective disaster response and community protection.

Police Day is celebrated annually on 25 March to honour the dedication, sacrifices and service of PDRM members.

The slogan “Police and Society Are Not Separated” serves as a reminder of the close relationship between law enforcement and the public.

The date also carries historical significance, marking the establishment of the police force in Penang on 25 March 1807 following the Charter of Justice.

Since then, the police have played a central role in maintaining order and protecting citizens across Malaysia.

The ceremony in Lubok Antu demonstrated the enduring respect and appreciation for the police force, while also highlighting the importance of unity among security agencies.

The collaboration between PDRM and APM continues to ensure that sovereignty and safety are preserved at both local and national levels.
