MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Mukah District responded swiftly to an emergency call on 28 March 2026, involving an elderly woman who was found injured and weak at her residence.
The Sarikei District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) received the call from a member of the public reporting that the victim was in her living room, suffering from wounds on her back and weakness in her limbs. APM members were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, personnel carefully transferred the victim using a scoop stretcher into an ambulance. She was then taken to Mukah Hospital for further medical treatment. The operation was carried out smoothly, ensuring the victim received urgent care without delay.
APM Mukah reminded the public of its readiness to respond to emergencies at any time, reinforcing its motto: “APM Mukah, Nang Steady.” The agency also reiterated its call to residents: “There is a disaster, call APM.”
The Civil Defence Force continues to play a vital role in community safety, providing assistance in medical emergencies, disaster response, and public protection. Authorities encouraged residents to remain vigilant and to contact APM immediately if faced with emergencies.
