APM Mukah Safely Destroys Honey Bee Nest

MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Mukah District successfully carried out an emergency operation to destroy a honey bee nest on 28 March 2026, following a public report to the Mukah District Operations Control Centre (PKOD).

The nest, located on a tree branch, posed a potential risk to residents in the area. APM members responded promptly and employed a combination of Ridsect spray and controlled fire techniques to eliminate the nest safely.

The operation was completed without incident, and the situation was declared under control. APM Mukah expressed appreciation to the public for contacting the agency, noting that timely reporting is crucial in preventing harm and ensuring community safety.

In a statement, APM reiterated its readiness to respond to emergencies at any time, reinforcing its motto: “APM Mukah, Nang Steady”. The agency also reminded residents, “There is a disaster; call APM.”

Authorities encouraged the public to remain vigilant and to report dangerous wildlife or insect nests immediately. Such cooperation enables enforcement teams to act quickly and protect communities from potential hazards.
