BETONG – The Betong District Civil Defence Force (APM Betong) responded to a roadside accident along Jalan Layar heading to Betong near Anggat Enterprise on 30 March 2026, following an emergency call received at the APM Betong Mers Operations Room.
The incident involved a Proton Exora that had skidded off the road. The accident was reported to have affected only one individual. A team of four personnel, led by Cpl (PA) Hamdan bin Mahmud, was immediately deployed to the scene to provide assistance.
Upon arrival, the APM team conducted a Rapid Body Survey (RBS) to assess the victim’s condition. The examination revealed no visible injuries, though the individual was experiencing weakness in the limbs. As a precautionary measure, the victim was transported to Betong Hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.
The swift response demonstrated APM Betong’s readiness in handling emergency situations and ensuring public safety. Their actions highlight the importance of rapid intervention in roadside incidents, which can often pose risks to both victims and other road users.
