Equipped with personal protective equipment (PPE), including specialised bee suits, the officers identified a ground wasp nest attached to the interior wall of the house.

The nest, described as being roughly the size of a takraw ball, was destroyed using the Ridsect spray method. The operation was completed without incident, and the team returned safely after ensuring the area was secure.

Authorities highlighted the importance of community vigilance in reporting such threats, as wasp nests can pose serious risks to residents.

Stings from ground wasps are not only painful but can also trigger severe allergic reactions in some individuals, making timely intervention crucial.

The APM Spaoh District Office reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding public safety and urged residents to immediately report any sightings of dangerous insect nests or other hazards. By doing so, the community can help prevent accidents and ensure rapid response from emergency teams.

This latest case underscores the role of APM in handling non-criminal emergencies, ranging from pest control to disaster response.
