Bush Fire in Kampung Pergau Cemetery Controlled by APM Matu

MATU – A bush fire that broke out in the cemetery area of Kampung Pergau, Matu, was successfully controlled by the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) on 5 April 2026.

The District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) of APM Matu received an emergency call reporting the incident on Sunday. Responding swiftly, personnel were deployed to the site to prevent the fire from spreading further.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the blaze was confined to the cemetery grounds. Immediate action was taken to extinguish the flames and secure the surrounding area.
