SRI AMAN – The Sri Aman District Civil Defence Force (APM) responded promptly to a road accident near SK Melugu on 22 April 2026, ensuring that victims received immediate assistance before being transferred to hospital care.
The emergency call was received at 12.08 pm, and a team of APM personnel, accompanied by an ambulance, was dispatched to the scene.
The team arrived at 12.24 pm, where members of the public had already assisted the victims and moved them to safety at the roadside.
Initial assessments revealed that the first victim sustained an injury to his right leg, while the second victim suffered only minor injuries.
Both individuals were given preliminary treatment by APM personnel before being transported to hospital for further medical attention.
The operation was completed smoothly by 12.52 pm, with all personnel reported safe and equipment in full working condition.
The swift response demonstrated the readiness of APM Sri Aman in handling emergencies and ensuring public safety.
