Raja Permaisuri Agong Presents Queen’s Guide Award To 61 Girl Guides

KUALA LUMPUR – Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah attended the Queen’s Guide Awarding Ceremony at Istana Negara on 27 April 2026, marking a prestigious occasion for members of the Girl Guide Association of Malaysia (PPPM).

Her Majesty was accompanied by Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, President of PPPM, and Dato’ Yeoh Soo Keng, Chief Commissioner of PPPM.

Also present were YM Dato’ Tengku Shireen binti Almarhum Dato’ Paduka Tengku Suleiman, Deputy Chairman of PPPM; and YAM Tengku Puteri Daulath Raja Tengku Dato’ Seri Fatimatuz Zahra’ binti Al-Wathiqu Billah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, President of the Terengganu Queen’s Guide.

During the ceremony, Her Majesty presented the Queen’s Guide Certificate to 61 recipients, consisting of school students from across Malaysia.

The award is regarded as the highest recognition within PPPM, honouring members for their achievements in leadership, discipline and character development.

The Queen’s Guide Certificate is designed to encourage young women to embody values of responsibility, resilience and service. It also highlights the importance of nurturing future leaders who can contribute positively to society.

Officials from PPPM expressed their appreciation for the support shown by Her Majesty, noting that the recognition serves as motivation for members to continue striving for excellence.

The ceremony also reinforced the association’s mission to empower girls and young women through structured programmes that build confidence and instil civic responsibility.
