148 Individuals Receive Sarawak State Honours

KUCHING – A total of 148 individuals were formally conferred Sarawak State Honours in a ceremony held at the Dewan Besar of the Astana Negeri Sarawak, conducted with full tradition and dignity.

The event began with the arrival of the Sarawak Governor, Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, accompanied by his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi. The ceremony reflected the state’s appreciation of outstanding contributions across various fields.

Among the awards presented was the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (P.P.C.), with Mahra Salleh heading the list of recipients.

For the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Sarawak (P.B.S.), recipients included Mohamad Shiblie Abang Sapuan, Ida Rohana Othman, and Susan Clement Ingun.

The Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K.) was awarded to Charles Benet Ait, Ir. Ts. Daniel Punang, Daniel Jok Wan @ Asa Jau, and 11 others.

Meanwhile, the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B.) was conferred on Lieutenant Colonel Ismanizam Ismail, Major Chester Richard, Major Muhammad Adam Carlos Rakem, and 16 more recipients.

Hudien Yusup led the list of awardees for the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S.), joined by 13 others.

For the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K.), Baie Barang and Bajung Ambik were among 21 recipients.

In the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam category, 36 individuals were recognised, with Sub-Inspector Jimmy Ja-Ih heading the list. Additionally, 41 recipients received the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S.).

The honours highlight the Sarawak government’s recognition of individuals who have contributed significantly to the state’s development, public service, and community wellbeing.

Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi; Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Rosey Yunus; and Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Port Development, Datuk Majang Renggi.

The conferment ceremony reinforced the importance of acknowledging dedication and service, ensuring that those who have played vital roles in Sarawak’s progress are celebrated with respect and honour.
