The contribution was presented as part of DBKU’s ongoing commitment to supporting residents during emergencies and disasters.

The fire, which damaged homes in the area, left several families facing hardship. In response, DBKU stepped forward to deliver aid aimed at easing the immediate burden of those impacted.

The initiative reflects the council’s broader mission of ensuring community welfare and resilience in times of crisis.

Mr Ramli bin Omar, Head of DBKU’s Community Services and Development Division, was present to hand over the donations.

He emphasised that DBKU remains dedicated to assisting the local population whenever unforeseen incidents occur, highlighting the importance of solidarity and care in strengthening community ties.

DBKU Cares has long been recognised as a platform for outreach and support, particularly during emergencies.

The programme not only provides material assistance but also reinforces the council’s role in fostering compassion and responsibility within the city.

By extending aid to fire victims, DBKU demonstrates its readiness to act swiftly and effectively in safeguarding residents’ welfare.

Community leaders have welcomed the initiative, noting that such support helps families recover more quickly from unexpected setbacks.

The assistance also underscores the importance of collaboration between local authorities and residents in building a safer and more resilient environment.

The incident at Kampung Rampangi Phase 2 serves as a reminder of the challenges posed by sudden disasters and the need for preparedness.

DBKU’s proactive response highlights the value of institutional support in ensuring that affected families receive timely help.
