SERIAN – The Serian District Civil Defence Force successfully handled an insect nest destruction case in Kampung Pridan on 2 May 2026, following an emergency call from a local resident.
The report, received by the MyASPA-O Charlie Squad, stated that an insect nest had formed on the roof of a house. A team of five members was immediately deployed to the location to investigate and carry out the necessary operation.
Upon arrival, officers conducted a safety inspection to assess the risks before proceeding. Observations confirmed that the nest belonged to ground beetles and was situated on the roof structure.
The team then initiated the destruction process using insecticide spraying methods, specifically Ridsect, to eliminate the threat.
The operation was completed efficiently, with the nest fully destroyed and no further danger detected. Civil defence officers confirmed that the procedure was carried out safely, and no injuries or unwanted incidents occurred during the intervention.
Following the successful completion of the task, all five members returned to the District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) in Serian.
