KUCHING – The N.11 Batu Lintang Mobile Service was successfully carried out today, coinciding with Mother’s Day, and drew a heart-warming response from the local community.
The branch office welcomed many mothers and senior citizens in the morning, with residents arriving to enquire about assistance programmes such as the Kenyalang Gold Card and the Senior Citizen Health Benefit.
Others simply came to spend time with volunteers and neighbours, enjoying companionship and conversation.
Organisers noted that the presence of mothers was particularly meaningful, as they continue to balance family responsibilities while extending care to those around them.
Their dedication was described as a reminder of the quiet sacrifices mothers make, often carrying hardships while giving the best to their children.
Simple gestures of gratitude, such as a “thank you” or “辛苦了” (meaning “you’ve worked hard”), were said to have brought warmth to the gathering, reflecting the spirit of appreciation that defined the day.
The mobile service was not only about providing assistance or processing applications but also about fostering care, warmth, and community connection.
The event highlighted the importance of social bonds, especially on a day dedicated to mothers.
A big thank you was extended to residents, volunteers, Team Dong Ge, and branch members who contributed to the success of the programme.
Their collective effort demonstrated the value of serving the community together, sharing laughter, and working side by side.
Organisers emphasised that such initiatives strengthen community ties and create meaningful experiences, especially when aligned with special occasions like Mother’s Day.
The event was seen as a celebration not only of mothers but also of the collective spirit of Batu Lintang residents.
The branch expressed its wishes for happiness, good health, and endless love to all mothers, underscoring the importance of recognising their contributions both within families and across society.
