Firefighters in Asajaya Clean Oil Spill at Town

ASAJAYA – Firefighters from the Asajaya Fire and Rescue Station carried out a special service operation on Tuesday, 12 May 2026, to clear an oil spill in front of Tamu Pekan, Asajaya.

The incident involved a civilian car that had leaked oil from its engine while parked near the busy marketplace.

The spill posed a potential hazard to road users and pedestrians, prompting immediate action by Bravo Team of BBP Asajaya.

Operation Commander PBK I Abg Othman Bin Abg Sharbini led the response team. Upon arrival, the firefighters conducted a quick assessment of the situation and confirmed that the oil had spread across the road surface.

To mitigate risks, the team deployed one hose reel from the LFRT Atego machinery to flush the affected area.

This ensured that the oil residue was removed effectively, preventing accidents and restoring safety for motorists and pedestrians.
