SERIAN – A quick-response emergency team was deployed to assist an elderly resident suffering from a sudden medical crisis in the district.
The operation was initiated after members of the public alerted emergency services regarding an individual experiencing acute physical distress.
The emergency call was received by the MyAspa O Bravo Squad, a specialised first-responder unit operating under the local civil defence framework.
Upon receiving reports that a senior citizen was exhibiting symptoms of a potentially life-threatening cardiac event, the squad was mobilised to the coordinates provided by the caller.
Arriving at the scene, the five-member rescue team immediately conducted a swift situational assessment to guarantee the safety of the surrounding environment before administering care.
This standard operating procedure ensures that both the emergency personnel and the patient are protected from any immediate external hazards during treatment.
Upon reaching the casualty, officers discovered that the elderly male patient was in a semi-conscious state.
The distressed individual was visibly weak and complained of severe, radiating pains across his chest area, indicating an urgent need for advanced clinical intervention.
The medical team quickly stabilised the patient on-site, administering vital first-aid procedures to manage his condition and monitor his vital signs.
Once the patient was secured and prepared for transport, he was carefully moved into an emergency vehicle for rapid evacuation.
The casualty was subsequently rushed to the Serian Hospital accident and emergency ward, where he was handed over to clinical staff for comprehensive diagnostic testing and specialised medical therapy.
The seamless transition from the scene to the hospital maximised the patient’s chances of a stable recovery.
District emergency coordinators reported that the entire medical evacuation operation proceeded smoothly, without encountering any logistical complications or delays.
Following the successful handover of the patient to hospital doctors, the five emergency service members returned to the Serian District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) to resume standby duties.
