LAWAS – Officers from the Lawas JPJ Operations Unit demonstrated their commitment to community service on 24 May when they assisted motorists whose vehicle had broken down due to a flat tyre during routine enforcement patrols.
Upon reaching the scene, JPJ personnel immediately took steps to manage traffic flow in the area, ensuring the safety of other road users and reducing the risk of accidents. Their swift action helped maintain order while the damaged vehicle was attended to.
In addition to traffic control, JPJ officers personally assisted the affected motorists by changing the flat tyre and ensuring the vehicle was roadworthy before continuing its journey.
The intervention highlighted the department’s dedication not only to enforcement but also to public welfare.
JPJ Sarawak emphasised that while its primary role is to enforce road laws, human values and care for the community remain central to its operations.
The department reiterated that its personnel are trained to respond with empathy and responsibility, reflecting the importance of togetherness and concern for the well-being of all road users.
