Bau Police Arrest Suspect in Drug Abuse Case

BAU – Police in Bau have confirmed the arrest of a 28-year-old man suspected of involvement in drug abuse.

The arrest was carried out by officers from the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Division, supported by members of the BPJKK, at the Bau District Police Headquarters on 6 June 2026 at approximately 2.45 pm.

According to Bau District Police Chief Pisupt Mohd Haide bin A. Rahman, the suspect was detained following an initial urine screening test which returned positive for drugs. He is now being held under provisions of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.

The police stressed that any form of drug abuse or related activity will be dealt with firmly. Authorities reiterated their commitment to tackling narcotics offences and urged the public to play a role in assisting enforcement efforts.
