The incident was first reported to the Pantai Remis Fire and Rescue Station at around 4.36am. According to initial information from the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) Perak, the accident involved a Toyota Innova MPV and a trailer truck. The impact of the collision was so severe that the MPV caught fire and was almost completely destroyed, with about 90 percent of the vehicle burned.

Firefighters rushed to the scene and immediately carried out firefighting operations to bring the blaze under control. After extinguishing the fire, rescuers discovered one victim trapped inside the vehicle. The victim had already been burned beyond recognition. The body was later removed using special rescue equipment and handed over to police for further investigation.

Authorities confirmed that another passenger survived the crash but suffered injuries. The trailer driver, a 60-year-old man, also sustained minor injuries and received initial treatment at the scene before further action was taken.

JBPM Perak Assistant Operations Director, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, stated that the fire was fully brought under control by 5.30am. He added that cleanup operations were carried out to clear debris and remove oil spills from the road to ensure safety for other motorists.

The entire operation involved six firefighters and was concluded at 6.48am. At this stage, the identity of the deceased victim has not yet been confirmed, while investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the collision.

Authorities are expected to review the circumstances surrounding the crash, including road conditions, visibility, and possible driver factors. The tragic incident serves as another reminder of the dangers posed by high-speed collisions between light and heavy vehicles, especially during early morning hours when visibility can be low.

The case has been handed over to police for further investigation.
