Snake Inspection in Asajaya Ends Without Discovery

ASAJAYA – Fire and Rescue Department personnel were deployed to Kampung Semera Lot Baru in Sadong Jaya on Sunday following reports of a possible snake sighting.

The operation, which began on 21 June 2026, was categorised as a special service response. A team from BBP Asajaya, led by Operation Commander PBK I Nor Aini binti Hj Usop, arrived at the residence located at No. 733 Kampung Semera Lot Baru. The unit was supported by one LFRT Artego vehicle (BJU 5996).

Upon arrival, the team carried out a detailed inspection of the premises and surrounding area. Despite the initial concern, no snake was found at the location.

Officers conducted a thorough search to ensure the safety of the occupants and confirmed that the environment posed no immediate threat.

The operation was concluded once the inspection was complete, and the team returned to the station. The incident highlights the department’s readiness to respond to wildlife-related emergencies, which are common in rural and semi-rural parts of Sarawak.
