APM Mukah Safely Captures Cobra Behind Village Home

MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Mukah District responded to an emergency call on 21 June 2026 after a cobra was discovered behind a residence.

The incident was reported to the District Operations Control Centre (PKOD) by a member of the public, who spotted the reptile near their home.

APM officers were immediately mobilised to the location to manage the situation. Upon arrival, the team identified the snake as a black cobra measuring approximately 1.5 metres in length.

Using the pincer technique, the officers successfully captured the reptile without incident. The operation was completed safely, with no injuries or property damage reported.

The captured cobra was secured for further action, ensuring that it no longer posed a threat to the household or surrounding community.
