APM Mukah Assists Elderly Woman in Medical Emergency

MUKAH – The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) Mukah responded to a medical emergency on 21 June 2026 after receiving a distress call concerning an elderly woman experiencing sudden illness.

The incident was reported to the District Operations Control Centre (PKOD), with members informed that the victim was suffering from weakness in her limbs accompanied by a severe headache.

Recognising the urgency of the situation, APM personnel were immediately dispatched to the location. Upon arrival, the team assessed the victim’s condition and prepared her for safe transfer.

Using a scoop stretcher, officers carefully moved the woman to an ambulance, which then transported her to Mukah Hospital for further medical treatment. The operation was completed smoothly, ensuring the victim received timely care.

Officials emphasised that rapid response in such cases is critical, particularly when symptoms involve neurological weakness or sudden pain, which can indicate serious underlying conditions. The intervention demonstrated APM Mukah’s readiness to act swiftly in safeguarding community health.
