The patrols were conducted in Bandar Bau, Tasik Biru, Jambusan, Kampung Skiat Baru and Lama, Kampung Suba Buan, Kampung Suba Bandar, Kampung Grogo, Kampung Sibuluh, Pekan Tondong, Sebuku and Taiton.

The operation was aimed at strengthening police visibility, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring that motorists adhered to traffic regulations.

During the patrol, officers issued two POL 170A summonses for traffic offences. The enforcement action was part of ongoing efforts to remind road users of the importance of following traffic laws to maintain safety on public roads.

Authorities reported that the overall situation in the monitored areas remained calm and orderly, with no untoward incidents recorded throughout the operation.

The presence of police personnel reassured residents and reinforced the message that law enforcement remains committed to community safety.

IPD Bau emphasised that such patrols will continue to be carried out regularly, reflecting the department’s dedication to crime prevention and public order.

By maintaining consistent monitoring, the police aim to reduce opportunities for criminal behaviour and ensure that traffic rules are respected.

Community members have been encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting suspicious activities and complying with road safety measures.

Police noted that collaboration between residents and officers is vital in sustaining a secure environment. The patrol initiative also aligns with broader state-level strategies to enhance public safety across Sarawak.

With crime prevention and traffic enforcement as dual priorities, the Bau police are working to protect both property and lives while fostering trust between the authorities and the community.

As patrols intensify, IPD Bau reiterated its commitment to safeguarding the well-being of residents, ensuring that Bau remains a safe and orderly district for all.
