KUCHING: The Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Batu Lintang Branch has responded quickly following a fire incident reported at a construction site behind Tropics City, Kuching, on Tuesday night.
Upon receiving information from members of the public regarding the incident, SUPP Batu Lintang Branch Chairman Sih Hua Tong, together with the branch team, immediately went to the scene to assess the situation and gather the latest updates from the Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA).
The team arrived while emergency response operations were ongoing and spoke with nearby residents as well as workers affected by the incident to better understand their situation. They also offered assistance and expressed concern towards those impacted by the fire.
The representatives remained at the location until the situation was brought under control by the authorities.
Fortunately, the fire was successfully contained following a swift and professional response by the Fire and Rescue Department. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.
