MIRI – The Miri City Council (MBM) has successfully concluded a two-day cleanup operation at an illegal waste disposal site, responding swiftly to reports circulated on social media platforms.
The intensive cleaning efforts, carried out on 28 and 29 July 2026, were aimed at restoring the area to a safe and hygienic condition for the surrounding community.

Repeat offenders face even stricter punishment, including an additional fine of RM2,000, imprisonment for up to six months, or both. This legal framework serves as a deterrent to those who might otherwise neglect their civic duties.
