LIMBANG – The Malaysian Islamic Welfare Organization (PERKIM) Limbang Branch, in collaboration with the Limbang Islamic Festival Standing Committee (JTPIL), successfully organised a seminar focused on the welfare of Muslim women and families. Held on Friday, the event was designed to strengthen community support networks for new converts to Islam, ensuring they receive adequate guidance and assistance during their transition.
The seminar served as a vital platform for bringing together PERKIM members, religious leaders, and community stakeholders. Its primary objective was to enhance cooperation between religious agencies, non-governmental organisations, and the local populace. Officiating the event was the Deputy Minister of Food Industry, Commodities and Regional Development of Sarawak, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail.
