Organised by Woo Woo Whimsy, this community-driven event is being held at Podium Kuching from Dec 18 to Dec 23, operating daily from 9 am until late. With 28 stalls showcasing a wide variety of goods, the event promises a magical shopping experience for locals and visitors alike.

Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Datuk Wee Hong Seng expressed his appreciation for the organisers, noting their efforts to provide a much-needed platform for small hawkers.
“This initiative supports hawkers who lack a permanent space to conduct their businesses. Visitors can explore and purchase unique products here, which is an excellent way to celebrate the season,” said Wee during a walkabout on Friday.

The event truly encapsulates Sarawak’s multicultural spirit, with traders of various backgrounds—Chinese, Malay, Iban, and more—offering items such as local food, drinks, clothing, handicrafts, accessories, and even cakes and desserts. Wee praised the inclusivity and creativity of the vendors, describing the event as a “mini Sarawak hawker store.”

Visitors not only get to shop for one-of-a-kind Christmas gifts but also witness the talents of local entrepreneurs and artisans. From handmade crafts to delicious treats, the event is a treasure trove of Sarawakian charm.
