KUCHING (Jan 17): Nine-year-old Dion Das Louis, fondly called the ‘Little Bornean Birdie,’ is set to bring pride to Malaysia as he represents the nation at the prestigious Dance World Cup Finals in Burgos, Spain, from July 3 to 12.

Dion secured this remarkable opportunity by triumphing in the Dance World Cup Malaysia Qualifier, clinching victories in the Mini Solo National and Folklore categories. The competition, held at the Sabah Culture and Arts Department, witnessed fierce talent, but Dion’s performance stood out.

“Winning this qualifies Dion to represent Malaysia at the Dance World Cup Finals in Burgos, Spain, in July this year,” shared his proud mother, Edina Lanying, during an interview with The Borneo Post.
