KUCHING, Sarawak – Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang, recently attended the wedding reception of Eunice Henie Silodik and Defterios Mondaley in Kuching last Saturday.
Eunice is the daughter of Sarawak’s Transport Deputy Minister Dato Henry Harry Jinep, while Defterios is the son of Rundi Noew.
The joyous event, which brought together hundreds of guests, was highlighted on the Premier’s official Facebook page, ‘Sarawakku.’ Among the notable attendees were State Legislative Assembly Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar, various ministers, deputy ministers, and their spouses.
The wedding celebration showcased a blend of elegance and tradition, making it a memorable occasion for all present.
A Busy Weekend for Sarawak’s Premier
Despite his packed schedule, Abang Johari made time to celebrate the union of the young couple. Earlier that day, he had just returned from officiating the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Betong Zone branches’ delegates meeting in Betong, a journey he undertook after arriving from Kuala Lumpur.
The Premier’s Kuala Lumpur trip was also eventful, as he attended the Malaysian Institute of Planners Excellence Awards last Friday. During the event, Abang Johari was presented with the prestigious ‘Honorary Fellow Award’ by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
